Are black holes really "holes"? Or is the gravitat…

Are black holes really “holes”? Or is the gravitational well caused by them a dead end?
If there IS a “rip” at the deep end, “where” would the matter that “falls out” be?
If there IS a “rip”, wouldn’t that instantly make redudndant any theory of a close universe?
If there IS a “rip”, wouldn’t it be a gross violation of the Law of Conservation of Energy/Matter?

If there isn’t any “rip”, how are wormholes supposed to be formed? I mean, a white hole and a black hole topologically opposite one another yaddi yaddi yah, but there’s no real “hole” right?

Seriously, help me out.
